Why we are the best
Native Lumber makes baseball bat billets out of hard maple, northern white ash, and birch wood.
It starts with superior lumber.
To create a superior billet you have to start with superior lumber. That’s why our inspection team hand selects each individual piece of timber that enters our workshop.
Located in New England we have unique access to top quality logs NATIVE to our area. Our hard maple, northern white ash, and birch trees give us the strongest, most reliable material available to produce the best bats in the industry.
Every step in the process of shaping our logs into billets is tailored to maintaining the strength of the wood by following its natural grain.
The structural integrity of our billets is our greatest priority and what drives us to continually improve our practices towards achieving a perfectly straight grain.
By meticulously choosing beautifully bright logs and using vacuum dry kilns that preserve the light color of the wood, we are able to produce the cleanest, whitest billets in the business.
We use vacuum kilns to dry our billets to their desirable weight with very little degrade.
Each and every one of our employees is trained to identify defects throughout every stage of production so that our billets are under constant scrutiny in our quest for the highest quality product.
